Jackie,
That is so weird you should mention Rachel Carson! I was just thinking of ordering her book
'Silent Spring'.
I am so thankful for what she did to protect our environment. I'm worried man and his greed will
continue the destruction. It is
very troubling to me.

Timmi,

I'm reading Rachel Carson's The Sea Around Us. She says (about 1960) that the sea will go on, but it is life as we know it that will be gone. She actually refers to using the sea as a dumping ground for atomic waste, but the end result is the same.

Thank you Dana!

That's a fun post you made with all your links. I appreciate your uploading my poem "Legacy of Heroines" on the Clio Club website. The site is coming along nicely.

I wish you and your choir a fantastic evening on the 24th in Onekema (Michigan) as you entertain the Clio Club and friends. Feel free to post a follow-up on this great event featuring the Shelby Choir.

I will be taking part in a Poetry Reading at The Charles Street Gallery on the 24th to celebrate National Poetry Month. I'll follow up with that too.

Thanks again!

Donna,

If my book inspires you to reflect on life's journey, then it is a success! I hope to inspire all to consider their own personal story--to acknowledge each journey as valuable and unique.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words. I'm thrilled to know Peering Into The Iris: An Ancestral Journey graces your coffee table!

Hi Vintage Gal,
I'm glad you think my poem works!

Yes, poetry is like life--mysterious and not always something we can totally understand.

Thanks for visiting my website.

That’s the way a good poem works (this does). So many people don’t get poetry, or think they don’t.
